What the listing tells us
- ZS03 UHP: load index 100, speed rating W, UTQG treadwear 460, XL (extra load)
Ratings come from the supplier's description. Call the shop to confirm the exact tire before you buy.
What the ratings on these tires mean
Speed ratings. W (up to 168 mph). The speed rating is the highest speed the tire is built to sustain at its rated load; it is not a recommendation to drive that fast. Replacement tires should match or exceed the rating on your vehicle's placard.
Load index. 100, which means up to 800 kg (1764 lb) per tire; 1 of these are XL (extra load) versions, built for higher inflation and load. Never fit a tire with a lower load index than the placard shows.
UTQG grades. Treadwear 460; traction A; temperature A. Treadwear is a comparison on a government test course: a 600 is expected to last about 1.5 times as long as a 400 under the same conditions, but real mileage depends on driving, alignment and inflation. Traction (AA best to C) is wet straight-line braking; temperature (A best to C) is resistance to heat.
